UEE’s “Birdie Buddy” drama moves to MBC

Drama “Birdie Buddy“, which stars After School’s UEE, will be moved to MBC.
According to production company Group Eight, “Birdie Buddy” will be broadcast by MBC as the follow-up to their Monday/Tuesday drama, “Queen of Reversals.”
A representative stated, “‘Birdie Buddy’ has been moved to MBC as the follow-up for ‘Queen of Reversals.’ However, there’s a chance that ‘Queen of Reversals’ may be extended, so we’ve pushed the broadcast date for ‘Birdie Buddy’ to late December or early January. If everything goes according to schedule, ‘Queen of Reversals’ will end on December 21st and ‘Birdie Buddy’ can broadcast on the 27th.”
He went on to state, “The drama consists of 20 total episodes. MBC will further discussions on the number of broadcasts and other details.
“Birdie Buddy” is a drama remake of Korea’s first golf comic, “Birdie”. UEE will portray a positive, country girl named ‘Sung Mi Su’ that becomes a rookie golfer.

Sexy diva Legendary Founder Lee Hyori Lee Hyori has channeled the historic beauty icon, Queen Cleopatra, for her latest Clio photoshoot. On November 23rd, a luxurious photo of Lee Hyori was revealed for makeup brand, Clio. In the picture, Lee Hyori dons very glamorous makeup and is draped in gold – from her seductive golden dress to her heavy golden earrings, the singer even had her bangs cut in a way that is reminiscent of Cleopatra.
Head of Clio’s makeup department, Lim Geun Young, stated, “For this winter season, the elegant and trendy  ’Cleoaptra Gold’ makeup will complete your look. It will be worth trying to go for the ‘Beauty Face’ that will bring out a classy charm.

T-ara’s “Why Are You Being Like This” MV released!

Having just released concept photos for their new title track, “Why Are You Being Like This”, T-ara’s official music video for their new track has finally arrived!
Co-produced by Kim Do Hoon and Lee Sang Ho, ‘Why Are You Being Like This’ has an addictive rhythm supplied by an electric guitar.
The group will begin promotions with their new 7th member, Hwayoung, and a new leader, Boram.

T-ara reveals “Why Are You Being Like This” audio track!

T-ara has revealed the title song for their second mini-album, “Why Are You Being Like This.”
The song was co-produced by Kim Do Hoon and Lee Sang Ho, with lyrics written by female singer Yangpa. Its electric guitar and addictive bass lends a retro feel that emphasizes the fun and powerful beat of this pop dance track.
The music video was also directed by Lee Dae Jin. The full mini-album will be available on November 29th, but in the meantime, check out the track below!

Pledis Entertanment &  DreamTea Entertainment’s Girl’s Day has pulled out the rug from under many K-pop fans with the astounding delivery of verve and sass through their comeback song, “Nothing Lasts Forever“.
With their recent boom in popularity, we’re proud to announce that Girl’s Day and allkpop have teamed up to create a special event for their international fans!
Starting now, we’ll be accepting your dance and/or song covers of “Nothing Lasts Forever“.  The preliminaries will be judged by allkpop and then the Top 10 will be personally chosen by the members of Girl’s Day (yes, you read that correctly).  The top 10 winners will each receive a limited edition autographed copy of their “Girl’s Day Party #2” single.



As always, there are some rules to follow:
  • Contestants must upload their submissions onto Youtube with the title, “allkpop x Girl’s Day Special Event“, in order to be considered.
  • Contestants must then send us an e-mail to girlsday@allkpop.com with their Youtube link and allkpop username.
  • Entries submitted as an attachment in the e-mail will unfortunately not be considered.
  • The contest ends on December 24th, 2010 at 11:59PM EST.  Winners will be announced around mid January 2011, as Girl’s Day will have to make time out of their busy schedules to carefully review all entries!

SS501’s Kim Hyun Joong unveils undisclosed pictures from the ‘16th Asian Games’

Undisclosed pictures of SS501’s leader Kim Hyun Joong at the ‘16th Asian Games’ in Guangzhou were recently revealed though the singer’s agency on November 22nd.
The simple yet elegant pictures show the singer having an interview with CCTV, listening to his MP3 to practice his singing, as well as sitting down quietly as he surfs the net.
The fans have complimented the picture by saying it looks like a professional photo shoot, leaving comments such as, “The man went to flaunt his superior genetics to the continent.”

The post is extremely cryptic, as there is no information included, just the countdown ticker.

Co-Ed to temporarily put a halt on activities

Following the discovery of pictures of Co-Ed member Hot Blood Kangho having drinks in a private room of a bar, Core Contents Media has announced that the group will temporarily put a halt on promotional activities.
“After this week, Co-Ed will put a halt on activities temporarily. This was decided because another group from our company is scheduled to make a comeback,” said a representative of Co-Ed’s agency.
When asked about promotional schedules hereafter, the representative replied, “We have not made any concrete decisions as of yet.”
With this week’s KBS ‘Music Bank’ being cancelled due to the broadcast of the ‘2010 Blue Dragon Awards’, as well as the high possibility of cancellation for MBC’s ‘Show! Music Core’, there is a chance that Co-Ed may not even be able to say goodbye on stage before ceasing their activities.

NS Yoon Ji poses for first digital photo spread

Sexy diva NS Yoon Ji recently became the first ever celebrity to appear on a digital photo spread in Korea. Popular high-end magazines CECI and Heren recently joined forces to start a new branch of a digital magazine service for the Samsung Galaxy Tablet PC.
NS Yoonji was able to perfectly showcase the charisma she displays on stage, while at the same time expressing the concept of a lover who cannot win the pains of love.
“NS Yoon Ji gave very bold poses and gave detailed facial expressions, we were able to see why she’s called the ’sexy diva’. She did not disappoint as the first model of the nation’s first digital photo spread,” said a representative of the photo shoot project.
The full photo spread will be available this coming December.
